Health Benefits Of Using A Water Ionizer
Every
breath we take, every move we make...so goes the song.
Yet every move
we make does depend on every breath we take and every drink (or meal)
we take, because our movement is fueled by energy that we store in
the body. We receive our energy from the triune sources of air, food
and water.
Energy doesn't
just 'drop' out of the air, food or water that we ingest. In its usual
form it is not chemically available. It can't always be called upon
to support every move we make because it is not always ready for chemical
reaction.
For any chemical
reaction to occur there needs to be two molecules involved, and each
of these molecules must have something to 'trade', in the form of
compatible atoms that are either positively or negatively charged.
Positively charged molecules (and the atoms within them) will easily
and naturally unite with negatively charged molecules of equivalent
and compatible charge.
Put simply, all
of your body functions rely on the energy released from the unity
of the 'charge' of the molecules in it and the opposite 'charge' in
food water or air that enters it.
So
what is an ion?
An
ion is any atom that has a positive or a negative charge. A positively
charged ion will seek a negatively charged one to unite with, have
a glorious 'coupling' and then turn into something totally new and
available.
So why do we rave
on so much about negative ions? Because the result of every move you
move (a net spending of energy) is a positively charged body. The
molecules in your body are left holding a positive charge. They are
unavailable for future 'couplings' unless we get a new batch of attractive
and giving negative ions in quickly.
As we hear so
often these days, things aren't what they used to be. The air is different.
Putting it very frankly and unscientifically, it's full of crud. Positively
charged crud. Nothing ever 'goes away' on our little green planet
and every exhaust, every chimney plume, every cowfart, stays within
our thin and fragile ionosphere. It stays in the air we gulp as we
run along the beach, it stays in the water we drink, and it stays
in the food we eat. And all of it this pollution is useless for energy
production within the body.
Because the environment
can no longer supply our basics, our bodies have to negatively ionize
the air, water and food that enters our bodies just to get bare minimum
ionization needs, and lying there in the sun, they are working non-stop
just to supply enough available energy for us to get up off the sand
and walk to the car!
Did
we always have to do this?
No.
We have managed to take our beautiful planet from garden paradise
to techno trash in less than a century, and we have done one helluva
'good' job. Where once clear air and spring or glacial water gave
us all the negative ions we needed, today the same basics actually
rob our bodies of energy.
Like
the idea of drinking pure rainwater?
Don't.
It robs you of electrons. It is also acidic, having combined with
CO2 and pollutants as it falls from the clouds, and so it only contributes
to the acidic state of your body.

That
air just blew all the way from a Brazilian chemical factory and now
it's your turn to breath it in.
So
we are suffocating in our air, drying up in our water, and toxifying
as we eat our supermarket food.
In
a radical state, radical action is required - and we are indeed in
a radical state of personal bodily survival. We have lost the negative
ions - the life energy we need to even breathe freely.
It's not hard
to understand how we age the way we do. Suddenly we are old and we
wonder how it happened. Yet it's been happening for years because
every day our wonderful, amazing bodies have been slugging it out
and losing the battle to keep aging at bay. Instead of performing
daily housekeeping functions, it is flat out ionizing water food and
air to make it energetically available for energy storage.
The Chinese adepts
well knew the power of this ionization process. They call the energy
in the body chi, and they say it comes from the air, from water and
from food. In his book The Tao of Health, Sex and Longevity, author
and longevity expert Daniel Reid says, "Since there exists no
equivalent term in English for 'Chi' or 'Prana', we shall refer to
it as 'bionic' or 'bioelectric' energy. This combines the idea of
living energy uniquely associated with living organisms (bio-) with
that of electricity (-electric) and negatively charged ions (-ionic).."
In 1838, deHufeland
wrote in The Art of Prolonging the Life of Man,
"A
careful study of the phenomena of the vital force in the organized
world leads us to recognize in it the following properties ands laws:
the vital force is the most subtle, most penetrating, most invisible
agent we have known until now in nature; in this respect it surpasses
even light, electricity and magnetism, with which in other respects
it seems to have the greatest analogy...We find a striking analogy
between the vital force and magnetism. The life force can exist in
a free and latent state, and in this respect has a close analogy to
heat and electricity."
More recently,
French Scientist Dr J. Belot said,
"When we
consider organic life in the light of biophysics, we find that electrical
phenomena are at the root of all cellular life and we conclude that
the end of everything is an electrical charge."
In March 1968,
36 years ago, Le Monde reported that the presence of negative ions
or ionization facilitates oxygen absorption, aids elimination of CO2
in the alveoli of the lungs, yet positive ions have precisely the
opposite effect. Gases, dust, chemical fumes, all enter the body as
positive ions, trapping the tiny negative ions in their large absorbent
form, rendering your air technically 'dead'.
When
we read the work of Dr Otto Warburg, Nobel Scientist, we begin to
understand the absolute importance not only of oxygen, hydrogen and
nitrogen, but the utter importance for our longevity of their entry
into the body in negatively charged form. We also begin to see the
extent of the effect of common-use substances. A plastic seat will
accelerate mental fatigue, as will plastic wall coverings. Objects
covered in polyethylene produce fields of between 5 and 10,000 volts/meter.
In a space enclosed by polyethylene the rate can skyrocket to 100,000
volts/meter. Certain synthetic clothes are strong enough to set up
a field that repels all negative ions in your immediate vicinity!
Go stand on a mountain; it won't help much if you're wearing your
favorite synthetic ski jacket!
Without adequate
negative ions, we are literally working ourselves to death and we
don't even realize it. Yet the technology now exists to replace the
body's load, to support the immune system, and to promote not just
a long life, but a strong, vital life.
With
ionization (ionized water), you are now able to derive huge quantities
of negatively charged ions as Hydroxyl ions in a microclustered form
that will flow between cell walls and react with acid wastes that
are causing energy loss, lethargy and a predisposition to almost every
major illness; all in water direct from your tap.
With the ionization
of air you will receive ionized nitrogen and oxygen that gives itself

Ionized
Water Is Nature's Antioxidant
Alkaline,
ionized water acts as a powerful and natural antioxidant. Because
60%
of our body weight consists of water
it is important to look at what type of water will benefit you the
most.
Ionized water through it's negative ORP (see below) and it's production
of hydroxyl ions help with oxygen production, neutralizing harmful
free radicals, increasing your energy level, correcting your body's
acid/alkaline balance, hydrating cells and in general reducing many
of the symptoms of aging.
Millions
of dollars are spent on the antioxidants vitamins A, C and E yet millions
again are spent on buying bottled water that is over 100 times more
acidic than regular water and which is unable to be ionized because
all the essential alkalizing minerals have been taken out.
What
vitamins A, C and E have in common with ionized water is they are
capable of carrying oxygen with an extra electron attached. These
hydroxyl ions in the ionized water seek out and neutralize free radicals.
This is very important since free radicals are what cause damage to
our cells and bring about disease and (premature) aging. When the
hydroxyl ions as an antioxidant have neutralized the free radicals
the result is a body rich in oxygen and energy.
In our modern world oxygen levels are depleted due to stress, environmental
pollution, diet and lack of exercise. Oxygen helps to destroys cancer
cells, removes waste, carries nutrients and also helps in resisting
bacteria and viruses that invade your body. A glass of ionized water
first thing in the morning is a wonderful way to greet every day.
A high positive (+) ORP (such as found in most bottled and city water)
creates oxidation and accelerates the aging process. In comparison,
when you drink clean, ionized water you are drinking a powerful and
natural antioxidant that renews us at the cellular level. How amazing
that so much is spent on doctors, pills and cosmetics as our bodies
dehydrate and acidify.
If you make fresh organic juice you will have an antioxidant drink

Water helps to balance your body's pH. In general, our bodies are
out of balance and have become too acidic. Feeling over-tired, weak,
restless, frustrated, stiff, overwhelmed, unfocused or confused are
often early warning signs that our bodies are no longer able to cope
with their toxic overload.
A
body that is too acidic provides the ideal environment for diseases
to manifest and thrive in. Our body tries to buffer (or reduce) the
effect of this excess acid by taking calcium from the bones, and magnesium
needed for heart health. It turns acidic wastes into solids and stores
them in fatty tissues resulting in hardening of the arteries and excess
weight. It stores crystalline deposits in joints that creates gout,
inflammation and stiffness. As our body's communication channels break
down, cancerous cells may appear and organs will shrink and degenerate.
Because it is very alkaline, ionized water dissolves accumulated acid
waste and helps to restore balance. Keeping yourself alkaline is your
first line of defense in fighting any disease.

Water is very different from water that has been stored in dams
and bottles. For many thousand of years, we have been genetically
trained to drink water that has been moving (bouncing over rocks)
and which is free from chemicals.

benefits of clean, safe, ionized water. Now, we have alkaline water
ionizers that bring this lost source to your kitchen sink. With
ionized water the size and shape of the water molecule cluster is
reduced in size and is changed in shape to hexagonal. This size
and shape allows the water molecules to pass through your tissues
more easily.
Also
when the essential alkalizing minerals are ionized your body will

drinking reverse
osmosis or distilled water will lead to mineral deficiencies

skin is naturally an acidic organ. People who regularly use acidic
water to wash their bodies tend to have a younger looking skin than
those who use hard water. Hard water is water that is alkaline usually
due to the presence of excess calcium. By applying acidic (soft) ionized
water to the skin it will help to clear up excess bacteria (reduce
acne and other blemishes) and will work like an astringent to tighten
up the skin and remove wrinkles. In Japanese hospitals acidic water
is used to help sterilize wounds, treat diabetic ulcers and keep hospitals
clear of infectious bacteria and viruses. Acidic ionized water can
also be used to reduce inflammation and itchiness caused by insect
bites.
Acid
/ Alkaline Balance In The Body

pH as
we discussed last month is the “potential of hydrogen”,
but in lay terms we are referring to the acid/alkaline balance of
the body, pH is calibrated on a scale of 1 (very acidic) to 14 (very
alkaline) and 7 being neutral.
Most
of our body fluids run at a slightly alkaline state with the exception
of stomach fluids. Our blood has a pH value of 7.35 to 7.45, outside
of this range death usually follows, so the body has many ways to
counter any imbalances and create “homeostasis” or balance,
for it’s main aim is for survival.
Most
things that go between our lips these days are acidic, our lifestyles
are generally considered acid-producing, and almost all forms of toxicity
we expose our bodies to are acidic, our body has to work hard to give
us alkaline blood. I see this daily in practice when performing Live
Blood Analysis. Acid crystals of all colours - some from drugs, pesticide
residue, alcohol, uric acid and assorted others from the body’s
effort to dispose of these dangerous substances.
Our blood
passes through the heart at a rate of approximately 130 Litres/Hour.
The kidneys filter one litre of blood per minute and if clogged with
acid wastes may cause kidney stones and inflammatory conditions of
the bladder. Most of our blood passes through the liver every three
minutes, doing an enourmous job of filtering toxic waste and acids
from the bloodstream.
The liver
also produces enzymes to alkalise the blood. In liver enzyme studies,
often referred to as Liver Function Tests, often show an elevation
of these enzymes, signifying the liver is working overtime to reduce
the acid wastes and toxins in the body, which means it hasn’t
time to do many of it’s other functions. The liver is then forced
to unburden itself of these excess acid wastes and deposit them in
joints - causing arthritis, and muscles causing fibromyalgia and other
problems. Another way the body alkalises the blood is through the
respiration (lungs), ever notice how when you’re sick (and usually
more toxic) you seem to increase your respiratory rate, noticed more
in children as panting.
Oxygen
supports an alkaline environment in the blood and tissues. This is
why breathing exercises, yoga etc are valued as good health practices.
Oxygen not only gives more energy but helps to detoxify and alkalise
the body. Another way the body deals with acidity is to ‘buffer’
with an alkaline mineral.
The body’s
most abundant alkaline mineral is calcium - found in bones and teeth.
In my opinion, Osteoporosis is not caused by lack of calcium or of
dairy products, but rather by the body having to beg, borrow and steal
calcium from the bones etc for alkalising the body. Stress comes into
the equation here too, as stress uses up a lot of Magnesium (another
alkaline mineral), and stress is also an acid producing lifestyle
factor, robbing the body of both alkaline minerals.
Both
magnesium and calcium help to support each other. An acidic body is
also a stress factor on the body, low magnesium and calcium cause
us to stress more easily too - ‘vicious cycle syndrome’.
So where
do all these acids come from and how can we deal with it? Most foods
except fruits and vegetables are acid producing, stress as we’ve
seen is acid producing, poor digestion from not chewing etc causes
excess acid wastes, alcohol, drugs, junk food, smoking, toxic debri,
shallow breathing - sedentary lifestyle, all add to our acidic load.
To assist
the body in being more alkaline we can choose to do any or all or
combination of the following—eat an 80 % alkaline (fruit and
vegetable) 20 % acidic diet (grains etc), supplement with alkaline
substances such as Vege juices especially beetroot, carrot and virtually
any greens, also liquid chlorophyll, powdered or fresh barley, wheat
grasses, spirulina, chlorella, calcium and magnesium supplements,
drinking alkaline water or ask for a brochure on Alkaline/Ionized
water.
Deep
diaphragmatic breathing, yoga, thai chi and detoxification processes
to dredge the acid wastes are also important. Steams and saunas to
dredge the skin—our largest eliminatory organ, along with body
scrubs, daily before showering or bathing or in clinic with a Dead
Sea salt scrubs and Mud wrap Massage.
Lungs
as mentioned - breathing but also by the use of herbal oils in steam
room and the use of negative ion generators (ask for brochure for
more details). Kidney and bladder can be drained with the use of herbal
teas, drinking alkaline water to dilute and excrete acid wastes and
toxins. And last but not least the colon cleansing.

A common statement found in literature everywhere Water is involved
with every metabolic process, electrical exchange, biochemical pathway,
physical and mental action in the body. Three quarters of the body
is water.
Our muscles
are 70% water, our blood 82%, bones contain up to 25% water, and our
brain 85% water. If your body doesn’t get enough water it will
have to recycle what it already has, this means it has to re-filter
it through the kidneys placing extra burden on them and the liver.
Water
is the element, which extracts nutrients from food, transports them
to the blood, replenishes vital fluids, as well as help detoxify the
body. Dehydration is one of the main causes of fluid retention. The
body is forced to store water if it’s not getting enough- the
body’s survival mechanism. Dehydration is often the cause of
chronic pain, including headaches and arthritis, one due to the concentration
of acids and toxins recirculating the body and two, due to drying
of the lubricating layer of interfacial tissue, causing friction (rubbing
together), causing tissue inflammation and pain.
Proportional
to the volume of water that enters the stomach, a hormone / neurotransmitter
“motilin” is secreted by the intestinal tract and can
be measured in circulating blood. Motilin produces rhythmic contractions
of the intestines- peristalsis. Therefore dehydration may be the cause
of abdominal pain, constipation, and colitis. The osmotic flow of
water through the cell membrane can generate “hydroelectric”
energy that is converted and stored in energy pools being important
for all cellular processes including neurotransmission.
So how
much water should we drink? Many authorities suggest 8-10 glasses
per day (2-21/2 litres), but this can vary depending on body size,
amount of physical activity and types of foods eaten. I like to suggest
1litre for every 25kg body weight, but if you suffer any illness,
constipation or are detoxifying your body, you should double this
quantity.
There
are so many different types of water we can drink and this can be
a confusing issue for some, so I will discuss some of the different
types of water available. If you do not have clean water, your body
will have to do this for you, along all of it’s other jobs.
We also need healthy water. I mean water that is health promoting
and actually good for you. Water authorities across Australia can
legally add up to 50 different chemicals to tap water in order to
“purify” it. All matter and energy has a vibration. It’s
chemistry, structure and electromagnetic vibration will have an effect
upon your chemistry, structure and function, electromagnetic vibration
and brilliance.
Today’s
tap water is “dead water”. It’s molecular structure
and ability to carry chemical elements such as oxygen and nutrients
is very poor. Any essential nutrients that may be in the water are
most often locked up and bound to chemicals and debris that render
them useless or of little benefit.
Boiled
water- you can evaporate off chlorine and kill some micro-organisms
by boiling water. However other chemicals, and all the dissolved solids
remain, along with endotoxins from the killed bacteria. These endotoxins
can produce pyrogens, which are actually more harmful than the live
bacteria they replace.
Rain
water – Raindrops form around airborne particles. Our air today
tends to be so polluted that our rain is less a pure source of un-contaminated
drinking water and more a cocktail of sulphuric acid, lead from petrol
and diesel fumes, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide and benzine derivatives
from industry.
Spring
or mineral water, basically, you get what is coming out of the ground,
and this can be quite different for individual springs. This water
contains varying quantities of metals, salts of metals and other substances
that leach into the underground basins. Aluminium, magnesium, potassium
and sodium, as well as their sulphates and chlorides, can be present
in widely ranging amounts. pH of one bottle I tested was 5.1 and they
bragged about it!
This
is why in this modern age, it is essential for you to invest in a
good water treatment device. There are many good water treatment units
on the market. My favorite is the Jupiter. More than just a filtration
system, the Jupiter alkalises, ionizes and micro clusters the water.
What
does that mean? Alkaline water can effectively neutralise acids in
the blood an tissues (see last months issue on pH). The water is charged
with negative ions which function as a potent antioxidant to scavenge
free radicals and to neutralize toxic substances in the blood. (Toxins
are positively charged)
Water
that is micro-clustered (smaller molecular size) passes more easily
into the cells and tissues of the body, hydrating the body more effectively.
